(Note: I was born in Michigan, and was a Michigan fan until I gave up on all college sports as a nasty scam a few years back)

I was going to start off by saying that Ohio State fans are the worst. The reality of it is that college football fans, and maybe even college sports fans in general, are as a whole the most terrible of terribles. I don't understand how a person you've known for 15 years will suddenly display their love and affection for Alabama, despite 1) not being from the state, and 2) never having shown an iota of interest in the school until they won a national championship. Rinse and repeat for what seems like 50-75% of the sport's total fanbase. I spent years watching Michigan beat up on Ohio State, and have so many people I went to school with either claim indifference or outright hatred for OSU, only to watch them become superfans in 2002-03.

Then again, much of the same could be said for pro sports. Ugh.
